June 9 (SeeNews) - Household appliances maker Alfa plam [BEL:ALFA] generated nearly one-third of the total share turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as share indices declined.
Alfa plam generated a stock turnover of 5.3 million dinars, as 153 of its shares changed hands in nine transactions. The company paced the blue-chip losers on Friday, as its share price declined 3.13% to 34,000 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], in turn, led the blue-chip gainers' list on the stock market on Friday, as it won 0.85% and closed at 710 dinars. A total of 2,861 of the company's shares changed hands 102 deals, generating a turnover of 2.0 million dinars.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:NIIS] was the most traded company on the Belgrade bourse, as 3,657 of its shares were traded in 68 transactions. The group won 0.41% and closed at 1,453 dinars, generating a stock turnover of 5.3 million dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, edged down 0.03% to 718.73 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index decreased 0.50% to 718.96.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.54% on Friday and closed at 1,550.60. The index fell 0.57% to 1,559.02 on Thursday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse increased to 14.2 million dinars ($129,541/115,897 euro) on Friday from 13.1 million dinars on Thursday, as 229 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 462,968 dinars.
In the period between June 5 and 9, BELEX15 and BELEXline lost 0.16% and 0.82, respectively.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list this week, as it won 6.67% and closed at 11,200 on Friday. A total of 70 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 770,290 dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between June 5 and 9 was 114.6 million dinars, versus 81.9 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 806.8 million dinars to the total trading turnover of 920.5 million dinars on the bourse in the week between June 5 and 9. The trading in Treasury bonds came in at 127.6 million dinars in the previous week.
