September 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:6AM] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday, bourse data showed.
Alcomet closed 4.51% higher at 16.2 levs ($32.17/27 euro) as 931 shares of the company changed hands.
Total trading turnover on the BSE fell to 1.5 million levs on Friday, from 2 million levs on Thursday.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue-chip company on Friday, as 227,911 of its shares changed hands at an average price of 4.625 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index added 0.69% to 710.31 points, after falling 0.16% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, rose 0.39% to 135.38 points, after adding 0.02% on Thursday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, edged up 0.10% to 115.45 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index decreased by 0.80%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, decreased by 0.12% to 555.38 points, after adding 0.39% on Thursday.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] led the blue-chip decliners during Friday's trading session, closing 1.30% lower at 1.875 levs.
