SOFIA (Bulgaria), May 16 (SeeNews) – Resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
Albena closed 5.51% higher at 67 levs as just five company shares changed hands.
Total stock trading turnover doubled to 2 million levs ($1.1 million/1 million euro) on Tuesday, from 949,300 levs on Monday.
The BSE's blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.78% to 660.87 points, after adding 0.12% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, gained 0.59% to 131.57 points, following an increase by 0.53% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, edged up 0.09% to 110.24 points. On Monday it closed 0.20% lower.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 0.51% to 517.69 points, after edging up 0.02% on Monday.
Bulgarian aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:6AM] led the blue-chip decliners on Tuesday, closing 1.86% lower at 18.5 levs in a trading volume of 382 shares. On Monday, Alcomet led the list of blue-chip gainers, closing 3.57% higher.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] was the most traded blue-chip company for a second consecutive day, as 78,010 of the company shares changed hands at an average price of 1.669 levs.
