TIRANA (Albania), March 4 (SeeNews) – Albania-based low-cost airline Albawings will launch in June three new services connecting the capital Tirana with Germany’s Dusseldorf, the UK’s Stansted and Greece’s Heraklion, Tirana International Airport (TIA) said.
The company will offer three flights a week to Dusseldorf and to Stansted, respectively, and a weekly flight to Heraklion in the Greek island of Crete, TIA said in a press release last week.
“We warmly welcome these new flights that bring Albanians living abroad closer to their families,” the CEO of TIA, Rolf Castro-Vasquez, said.
Albawings is a low-cost airline headquartered in Tirana and based at TIA. It is currently the only Albanian airline operating scheduled flights.
