TIRANA (Albania), December 3 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Albania decreased by 14.6% year-on-year to 293 in the third quarter of 2019, the national statistical agency, INSTAT, said on Tuesday.
Of the total, 202 building permits were issued for residential buildings, INSTAT said in a regular report.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects increased to 25.6 billion leks ($227.9 million/206.4 million euro), from 15.2 billion leks in the third quarter of 2018.
Most of the permits, 108, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 48 in the country's biggest port city of Durres and 35 in the southwestern city of Fier.
