TIRANA (Albania), August 30 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Albania rose by 15% year-on-year to 310 in the second quarter of 2019, the national statistical agency, INSTAT, said on Friday.
Of the total, 194 building permits were issued for residential buildings, INSTAT said in a regular report.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects increased to 16.8 billion leks ($151 million/136.4 million euro), from 11.4 billion leks in the second quarter of 2018.
Most of the permits, 111, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 55 in the country's biggest port city of Durres.
