November 24 (SeeNews) - Albania's electricity production edged down by 0.1% on the year, to 1,371 GWh in the third quarter of 2022, the country's statistical office said.
Albania's power exports jumped to 670 GWh from 323 GWh in the July-September period of 2022, whereas imports rose to 1,142 GWh from 975 GWh, INSTAT said in a statement on Wednesday.
Some 74.8% of the country's electricity production in the third quarter of 2022 was generated by public hydro plants, 23.7% by independent power producers and 1.5% by other producers.
Grid losses decreased to 327.9 GWh in the third quarter of 2022 from 343.4 GWh in the like period a year earlier. Distribution losses fell to 281.2 GWh from 298.6 GWh, while transmission losses increased to 46.7 GWh, from 44.9 GWh.
