TIRANA (Albania), May 2 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power distributor OSHEE said on Wednesday it reduced losses on the electricity transmission and distribution network by 2.6 percentage points year-on-year to 27.7% in the first quarter of 2018.
The power distributor collected 17.76 billion leks ($166.3 million/138.2 million euro) from electricity bills in January-March period, 650 million leks more than in the first quarter in 2017, OSHEE said in a statement.
In 2017, losses on Albania's electricity network losses were cut by 5.5% on the year to 1,876 GWh, the country’s statistical office said in February. Distribution losses decreased by 4.3% to 1,718 GWh, while transmission losses decreased by 16.9% to 157.9 GWh.
