December 1 (SeeNews) - Albania's parliament has adopted the 2018 state budget at final reading, the government said.
The 2018 budget approved late on Thursday envisages a deficit of 32.4 billion leks ($285 million/240 million euro), equivalent to 2% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP), according to data posted on the website of the finance ministry.
The budget envisages revenue of 464.3 billion leks, whereas costs are projected at 496.7 billion leks.
In comparison, the 2017 budget revised consolidated state budget projects revenues of 436 billion leks, costs of 467.2 billion leks and a deficit of 31.2 billion leks.
The 2018 draft budget projects economic growth of up to 4% in 2018. In comparison, Albania's economy is expected to grow by 3.8% in 2017.
