TIRANA (Albania), June 20 (SeeNews) – Albanian power distributor OSHEE said on Thursday it is inviting bids for the import of up to 33,100 MWh of electricity during the period from June 24 to June 30.
The bidding deadline is June 20 and the preferred criteria will be the lowest price offered, the OSHEE said in an invitation for offers.
In April, OSHEE said it has reduced losses on the grid in the first quarter to 26.25%, from 27.71% in the same period of 2018.
Albania produces over 90% of its electricity at hydro power plants (HPP). Most of it is generated at three power plants along the Drin River, in the northern part of the country.
