TIRANA (Albania), December 10 (SeeNews) – Albanian power distributor OSHEE said it has purchased a total of 81,900 MWh of electricity worth 6.5 million euro ($7.4 million), to be delivered in two lots from December 10 until December 16.
The auction started on December 5 and was concluded after three rounds of negotiations on December 6, the OSHEE said in a statement last week.
A total of 11 domestic and foreign power suppliers participated in the auction, of which OSHEE selected four to proceed further: GSA, NOA, Devoll Hydropower and GEN – I Tirana.
The average price achieved in the auction was 75.72 euro/MWh for the first lot (0:00 - 24:00 hours) and 86.78 euro/MWh for the second lot (6:00 - 24:00 hours).
