TIRANA (Albania), January 10 (SeeNews) – Albanian power distributor OSHEE said it has purchased a total of 72,660 MWh of electricity worth 7.2 million euro ($8.2 million), to be delivered in two lots from January 11 until January 17.
The auction started on January 8 and was concluded after six rounds of negotiations on January 9, the OSHEE said in a statement on Wednesday.
A total of 10 domestic and foreign power suppliers participated in the auction. OSHEE selected all of them to proceed further: GSA, EFT, n4t-group, Grid Energy, UraDrin, NOA, HSE d.o.o. Ljubljana, Ayen Energy Trading, Devoll Hydropower and GEN – I Tirana.
The average price achieved in the auction was 88.67 euro/MWh for the first lot (0:00 - 24:00 hours) and 103.81 euro/MWh for the second lot (8:00 - 23:00 hours).
