November 9 (SeeNews) - Albania's October consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.1 month-on-month, after rising by 0.9% in September, the National Statistics Office (INSTAT) said on Friday.
On an annual basis, the country's consumer price inflation slowed down to 4.2% in October from 4.4% a month earlier.
In October 2006, consumer prices rose by 0.1% on the month and were 2.2% higher on the year.

NOTE: Albania targets an average annual inflation rate of 3.0% for 2007. The average annual inflation rate for last year is estimated at 2.36%, compared to 2.4% in 2005.
The impoverished Western Balkan country targets an average annual inflation of 3.0% next year.
