TIRANA (Albania), October 2 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said on Tuesday it has selected the local joint venture Nika & S.M.O. Union as the winner of a tender for the rehabilitation of Tamara village and upgrade of Vermosh road in the country's northern region of Shkodra.
The assignment is estimated to cost 76.8 million leks ($700,564/604,391 euro), VAT included, and the construction works must be completed within 10 months, ADF said in a statement.
The infrastructure works are part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas, co-financed with a 28.7 million euro loan from Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and a contribution of 6 million euro from the Albanian government.
Nika & S.M.O. Union association was ranked first among two candidates in a qualification selection procurement procedure, the statement added.
The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
