June 8 (SeeNews) - Albania's May monthly deflation quickened to 1.1% from 0.6% in April, the National Statistics Office said on Wednesday.
Annual consumer price inflation accelerated to 4.2% in May from 4.1% in the previous month, the statistics office said in a monthly inflation report.
Albania's consumer price index (CPI) reached 111 points in May, compared to its base of 100 points in December 2007.
In May of 2010, consumer prices fell by 1.2% on the month and were 3.3% higher on the year.
