TIRANA (Albania), December 11 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power corporation KESH said it has sold a total of 14,000 MWh of electricity worth 705,399 euro ($830,141) for December 8-14 delivery.
KESH announced and concluded the auction on December 7, with the highest price offered set as the preferred criteria, according to the final report on bids posted on the corporate website on Saturday.
Ten domestic and foreign power suppliers and traders participated in the auction, of which KESH selected five: EFT AG, GSA, HSE DOO, AXPO DOO Beograd and GEN-I Tirana shpk.
The price range achieved in the auction was 49.11 euro/MWh to 53.50 euro/MWh for the first lot (06:00-22:00 hours).
Almost all of Albania’s electricity is produced by hydro power plants.
