TIRANA (Albania), December 7 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power corporation KESH said it is inviting bids for the export of up to 38,500 MWh of electricity for December 8-14 delivery.
The bidding deadline is December 7 and the preferred criteria will be the highest price offered, KESH said in a request for proposals posted on the corporate website on Wednesday.
The electricity will be offered for delivery in two lots: Lot 1 (6:00-22:00 hours) and Lot 2 (7:00 – 16:00 hours & 21:00 – 22:00 hours), KESH said.
In the previous auction held on December 1, KESH sold a total of 9,870 MWh of electricity worth 407,341 euro ($481,184) for December 2-4 delivery. The price range achieved was 33.44 euro/MWh to 44.47 euro/MWh.
Almost all of Albania’s electricity is produced by hydro power plants.
