April 13 (SeeNews) - Albania's state-owned power corporation KESH said on Friday it is inviting bids for exports of up to 123,000 MWh of electricity for April 16-30 delivery.
The bidding deadline is April 13 and the preferred criteria will be the highest price offered, KESH said in a request for proposals.
The electricity will be offered for delivery in four lots from Monday through Sunday, KESH added.
On March 28, KESH said it sold a total of 288,000 MWh of electricity worth 8.5 million euro ($10.5 million) for delivery in April. A price range of 28.67 euro/MWh to 30.20 euro/MWh was achieved in the auction.
Albania produces 98% of its electricity at hydro power plants, most of it from three power plants along the Drin River, in the northern part of the country.
