TIRANA (Albania), December 28 (SeeNews) – Albania recorded a budget deficit of 1.27 billion leks in the first 11 months of 2018, compared to a deficit of 10.5 billion leks in the prior year period, the finance ministry said.
Consolidated budget revenue rose 4.3% year-on-year to 407.4 billion leks in January-November, while expenditures increased 1.9% to 408.7 billion leks, the ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
Tax revenue grew 4.7% to 358.3 billion leks, while value-added tax (VAT) proceeds increased 3.9% to 130.8 billion leks.
Economic growth of 4% and budget deficit equivalent to 2% of GDP are forecast in Albania's 2018 budget bill.
