TIRANA (Albania), December 16 (SeeNews) – Albania's budget was in deficit of 9.4 billion leks ($84.9 million/76.3 million euro) in the eleven months through November, compared to a gap of 1.3 billion leks in the year-ago period, official figures show.
Consolidated budget revenue rose 3.4% year-on-year to 421.3 billion leks in the first 11 months of 2019, while expenditures increased 5.4% to 430.7 billion leks, according to data published by the finance ministry.
Tax revenues increased by 3.5% to 394.7 billion leks, whereas value-added tax (VAT) revenue decreased 4.4% to 125.1 billion leks.
The Albanian government has forecast economic growth of 3.4% and budget deficit equivalent to 1.9% of GDP in the 2019 state budget.
