TIRANA (Albania), January 2 (SeeNews) – Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an estimated 4.48% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2018, the country's statistical office, INSTAT, said.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Albania's GDP increased by 1.09% in the July-September period, INSTAT said in a quarterly report last week.
In the second quarter, Albania's economy grew by an estimated 4.32% year-on-year and by 1.34% on a quarterly comparison basis.
The main growth engines in the third quarter of 2018 were industry, electricity and water supply, trade, transport and accommodation services as well as construction.
Economic growth of up to 4.3% and deficit equivalent to 1.9% of GDP are forecast in Albania’s 2019 state budget.
