February 2 (SeeNews) - Albania’s overall economic confidence indicator edged up 0.6 percentage points (pp) to 106.3 in January 2023, after rising by 2.7 pp in the prior month, the central bank said.
The indicator was influenced by the improved confidence indicators in the services and consumer sectors, Bank of Albania said in a monthly survey on Wednesday.
The services confidence indicator went up 4.3 pp month-on-month in January, while the consumer confidence indicator improved by 0.9 pp.
The industry confidence indicator decreased by 1.3 pp in January compared with December. The building confidence indicator dropped by 3.4 pp, while the trade confidence indicator fell by 1.1 pp.
Bank of Albania is carrying out the surveys of businesses and consumers since 2002. Starting from May 2021, the frequency of the survey was changed from quarterly to monthly.
