TIRANA (Albania), August 20 (SeeNews) – Albania's largest sea port of Durres handled 2.4 million tonnes of cargo in the January-July period, up 13% compared to the same period in 2018, the port authority said.
Ships carried over 1.8 million tonnes of goods to and from Durres, up 15% year-on-year, while ferries transported around 547,000 tonnes of cargo in the January-July period, up 5% year-on-year, the port authority said in a statement on Monday.
In 2018, the port of Durres handled 3.6 million tonnes of cargo, down from 3.7 million tonnes in the previous year.
