TIRANA (Albania), April 8 (SeeNews) – The number of coronavirus cases in Albania rose to 400, as the death toll from the infection reached 22, local media reported on Wednesday.
Over the past 24 hours, 17 new patients tested positive for the COVID-19 disease, Albanian Daily News reported, quoting data from the health ministry.
So far, the country has carried out tests on 2,989 people.
The first coronavirus case in Albania was confirmed on March 9.
Albania’s government earlier declared a state of emergency and imposed a nationwide curfew from 1.00 pm to 5.00 am in an effort to limit the spread of the disease.
