November 26 (SeeNews) - Albanian authorities issued 442 building permits in the third quarter, up 68.7% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said.
Of these, 357 permits were issued for the construction of residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report on Thursday.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects in the period under review totalled 22.5 billion leks ($208.1 million/184.5 million euro), compared with 19.5 billion leks in the third quarter of 2020.
The highest number of permits, 131, were issued for buildings in the city of Lezhe, followed by 109 in the capital Tirana.
