February 28 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Albania in 2022 rose by 1.7% year-on-year to 1,420, the national statistical agency, INSTAT, said on Tuesday.
The estimated value of approved construction projects last year increased by 14% to 113 billion leks ($1 billion/981.9 million euro), INSTAT said in an annual report.
In the fourth quarter alone, the number of building permits rose by 16.6% year-on-year to 415. Out of the total, 343 building permits were issued for residential buildings.
Most of the permits in the October-December period, 189, were issued for buildings in Durres, followed by Tirana with 89 permits and Korce with 34.
