August 31 (SeeNews) - Albanian authorities issued 339 building permits in the second quarter of the year, down 2.3% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said.
Of these, 258 building permits were issued for residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report on Tuesday.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects in the period under review rose 12.1% on the year to 25.9 billion leks ($221.5 million/220.9 million euro).
Most of the permits, 95, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 90 in the western city of Durres.
