TIRANA (Albania), November 22 (SeeNews) – Albania's budget showed a deficit of 5.7 billion leks ($50.9 million/45.9 million euro) in the ten months through October, compared to a surplus of 1.5 billion leks in the year-ago period, official figures show.
Consolidated budget revenue rose 3.6% year-on-year to 383.3 billion leks, while expenditures increased 5.5% to 388.9 billion leks in the January-October period, according to data published on the website of the finance ministry.
Tax revenues increased by 4.2% to 361.0 billion leks, while value-added tax (VAT) revenue decreased 4.3% to 113.4 billion leks.
The Albanian government projects economic growth of 3.4% and budget deficit equivalent to 1.9% of GDP in the 2019 state budget.
