TIRANA (Albania), May 8 (SeeNews) – Albania's competition authority said it has approved the sale of 85% shareholding interest in Internet and data processing services provider Digicom, owned by INFO-Telecom, to local company Albanian Telecommunications Union.
INFO-Telecom and Albanian Telecommunications Union signed an agreement for the sale of majority stake in Digicom in October 2018, the competition authority said in a statement on Tuesday.

The price of the deal was not disclosed.
The remaining 15% of the shares are under the control of Albanian businessman Marin Gjonaj, according to data published in the country's business register.
INFO-Telecom and Digicom are specialized in providing internet and data transmission services including fixed-line telephony.
Albanian Telecommunications Union is specialized in development of electronic communications, including cable television and other related services.
