December 12 (SeeNews) - Albania collected 84.17 billion leks ($1.02 billion/697.21 million euro) in customs revenue through November, up 17% from the year-ago period, the Customs Office said on Wednesday.
The revenue collected in the eleven month period was 2.0% above plan, the Customs Office said in a statement.
Higher imports and exports through November helped increase customs revenue, the statement said. Albania's eleven-month exports, worth 95.657 billion leks, were 29% higher than a year earlier. Imports, totalling 353.964 billion leks, were 28.9% higher.
Albania's government plans to collect 174 billion leks in taxes and customs duties in 2007.
