June 1 (SeeNews) - The prosecutor's office of the Albanian city of Vlora said it has seized precautionary 220 ha land on the Karaburun peninsula with an estimated value of 100 million euro ($111.6 million) on suspicion it was acquired with forged documents.
The prosecutor's office said on Tuesday it has launched an investigation in the case.
According to local broadcaster TopChannel, two persons have been arrested - the lawyer and the notary - on suspicion they are responsible for the counterfeited documents.
The Karaburun peninsula has an area of 62 sq km and is the biggest in Albania. The peninsula is a managed nature reserve and has no population.
