TIRANA (Albania), August 21 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power transmission system operator OST increased its net profit to 1.2 billion leks ($10.5 million/9.5 million euro) in the first half of 2019, from 447.5 million leks in the like period last year, it said.
The company's operating profit also rose - to 1.5 billion leks, from 787.7 million leks in January-June 2018, OST said in a semi-annual financial statement.
Revenue from transmission services fell to 2.7 billion leks from 3.0 billion leks.
The company's total assets increased to 71.8 billion leks at the end of June, from 68.1 billion leks a year earlier.
OST’s total equity grew to 32.3 billion leks from 30.8 billion leks.
In 2018, OST recorded a net profit of 906.4 million leks, down from 1.4 billion leks in 2017
