May 26 (SeeNews) - The Albanian parliament adopted a law that aims to facilitate the operation of startups in Albania by creating a dedicated government agency, entrepreneurship protection minister Edona Bilali said in a social media video on Thursday.
“A special agency under the minister will bring dynamic energy to the support of startup projects by significantly shortening the time of information exchange, processing of applicants' documents and full transparency in public funding decision-making,” Bilali said.
The law includes a provision for digital nomads to exempt from paying taxes during their initial year in Albania, in the hope that they might bring seasonal workers with them.
Albania hosts 100 digital nomads, Bilali said earlier.
