May 12 (SeeNews) - Albania's finance ministry will offer 10 billion leks ($80.3 million/90 million euro) worth of Treasury bills at an auction on May 16, central bank data shows.
The finance ministry will offer 9 billion leks worth of one-year Treasury bills that will mature on May 18, 2024, the data shows. Some 4.5 billion leks of the offer is reserved for the central bank.
The finance ministry will also offer 1 billion leks worth of three-month Treasury bills with a maturity date of August 17, 2023, as some 300 million leks of the offer are reserved for the central bank.
At the last auction of one-year Treasury bills held on May 2, Albania's finance ministry sold 9 billion leks worth of securities. The average weighted yield on the issue stood at 3.75%, slightly lower compared with 3.82% at the previous auction of one-year Treasury bills held on April 18, the central bank data showed.
At the last auction of three-months Treasury bills held on April 4, the ministry sold 1 billion leks worth of securities with an average weighted yield of 3.05%, higher than the 2.81% at the previous auction of three-months T-bills on March 7.
