TIRANA (Albania), January 29 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it is seeking a consultant to support a marketing development project for the promotion of tourism in the south of Albania.
The expressions of interest must be delivered in writing by February 13 and the assignment shall be completed within 24 month, ADF said in a procurement notice last week.
The objectives of the assignment are to professionally support local tourism management, create basic marketing infrastructure, collaborate with local tourism management entities and build their capacity during the process, actively manage and optimize website and social media profiles, provide ad hoc support during the two years for the promotion of product offer, as well as monitor activities and report on results, the ADF added.
The assignment is part of a project for integrated development of urban infrastructure and tourism activities focused on Albania's south and financed with the proceeds of a $71 million (64.5 million euro) loan from the World Bank.
The objective of the project is to improve urban infrastructure, enhance tourism assets, and strengthen institutional capacity to support tourism-related local economic development in selected areas, the World Bank said earlier.
ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
