April 6 (SeeNews) - Albania received a fresh shipment of 22,230 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech, local media reported on Tuesday.
The new doses will be administered in the following two weeks, news portal Exit quoted prime minister Edi Rama as saying.
Albania also expects to receive 50,000 doses of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine in the next ten days, according to the media report.
In March, Albania received 10,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine as a donation from the United Arab Emirates.
The country received its first 1,170 doses of the Pfizer vaccine in February.
Albania has so far taken delivery of about 300,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Russia and Chinese company Sinovac, according to Exit.
