June 15 (SeeNews) - Albania posted a budget surplus of 18.2 billion leks ($133.2 million/147.2 million euro) for January-May, compared to a deficit of 9.8 billion leks a year ago, provisional data from the country's finance ministry showed.
The improvement is driven by higher tax revenues and lower capital expenditures, the data indicated.
Total revenue rose 7.8% year-on-year to 163.8 billion leks, while total expenditure shrank 10% to 145.6 billion leks.
