TIRANA (Albania), June 18 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it selected Albanian-Italian joint venture Atelier 4 & Keios to do the detailed designs and construction supervision of urban upgrading projects in Albania's southern municipalities of Berat and Permet.
The estimated value of the contract is 950,435 euro ($1.1 million), exempt of VAT, ADF said in a statement last week.
Atelier 4 & Keios association was ranked first among 29 candidates in a consultants qualification selection procurement procedure. Design services should be performed within 13 months period, whereas the supervision services should be completed within 22 months.
The urban upgrading projects in Berat and Permet are part of a project on the integrated urban and tourism development focused on Albania's southern region and financed with the proceeds of a $71 million loan from the World Bank, ADF said.
The project’s objective is to improve urban infrastructure, enhance tourism assets, and strengthen institutional capacity to support tourism-related local economic development in selected areas, according to the World Bank.
The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
