TIRANA (Albania), May 7 (SeeNews) – Albania has launched a tender for a project for consumer protection against zoonotic diseases with a maximum budget of 2.1 million euro ($2.7 million), a notice published in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated.
The main purposes of the contract are to establish reliable and effective disease surveillance systems for efficient animal disease control, to assist the national veterinary service to undertake further measures for the eradication of zoonotic diseases, and to monitor the vaccination against rabies in foxes, the notice in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) wrote on Saturday.
The tasks of the project should be implemented within 55 months.
Applications should be submitted by June 3.
Contractors will be selected on the basis of the price offered.
