January 10 (SeeNews) - Albania's infrastructure and energy minister Belinda Balluku said that the government will provide 8 million euro ($8.6 million) in subsidies to households this year for the installation of solar water heaters, local media reported.
The government aims to help 20,000 local families to equip their homes with solar water heaters, public broadcaster Radio Tirana International (RTSH) quoted Balluku as saying on Monday.
In 2022, Albania carried out a programme for the installation of solar thermal collectors by households. The programme was designed to cover 70% of the expenses of 2,000 families in the country.
