TIRANA (Albania), July 20 (SeeNews) – Albania’s Premier Sali Berisha has named new justice and tourism ministers after leaving the respective positions vacant for a couple of months to allow ministers to run in the May local elections.
Eduard Halimi was nominated as justice minister and Aldo Bumci is proposed for minister of tourism, culture, youth and sports, the government’s press office said on Tuesday.
Berisha has sent the proposals to President Bamir Topi for approval.
Prior to the local elections, Ferdinand Xhaferaj headed the tourism ministry and Bujar Nishani was justice minister. Currently, Nishani is the interior minister after replacing Lulzim Basha who became Tirana's new mayor following the May 8 elections.
