June 6 (SeeNews) - Albania’s finance ministry issued a call for investors to build, develop and operate with their own funds a technological and economic development area (TEDA) in the north-western town of Koplik, it said on Tuesday.
The winner will be awarded a 99-year lease contract, the ministry said in a notice published in its website.
The investors should offer a bid security of 15 million leks ($149,000/139,000 euro).
Applications should be submitted by July 10.
TEDA Koplik lies six kilometres from the border with Montenegro.
In May, Albania's government said it approved the expropriation of land worth a total 115.4 million leks within another planned TEDA, located in the capital Tirana.
Incentives for TEDA development in the country include a two-year period with 120% deductible capital expenses for developers and users who invest in TEDA within three years of its operation.
Additionally, investors and buildings in TEDA are exempt from 50% of the profit tax rate and real estate taxes for five years, according to Tirana's TEDA website.
