TIRANA (Albania), August 13 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it is inviting bids in a tender the construction or upgrade of tourism infrastructure in the southern coastal village of Dhermi.
The works comprise the construction of an emergency centre, rehabilitation of a water torrent and a new parking area.
The bidding deadline is September 11 and construction works must be completed in 16 months, ADF said in a notice last week.
The tourist infrastructure works in Dhermi are part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas co-financed with a 28.7 million euro ($32.4 million) loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and a contribution of 6.0 million euro from the Albanian government, ADF said.
The ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
