TIRANA (Albania), September 12 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) is inviting bids in a tender for the upgrade of the Lekdush-Bence-Tepelene rural road in the southern region of Gjirokastra, it said.
The bidding deadline is October 30 and the construction works should be completed in 12 months, ADF said in a tender notice on Wednesday.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using request for bids as specified in the World Bank’s procurement regulations.
The assignment is part of a project for improving regional and local roads connectivity in Albania and financed with the proceeds of a $50 million (45.4 million euro) loan from the World Bank.
The ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
