TIRANA (Albania), July 23 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said is inviting bids in a tender for construction or upgrade of tourism infrastructure in the country’s northern national park of Valbona.
The bidding deadline is August 24 and construction works must be completed in five months, ADF said in a notice posted on its website last week.
The project envisages the rehabilitation of two buildings, construction of four bungalows, a gift shop, parking area and other works which will help develope tourism in the area.
The tourist infrastructure works in Valbona national park are part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas, co-financed with a 28.7 million euro ($33.4 million) loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and a contribution of 6.0 million euro from the Albanian government, ADF said.
Bidding will be conducted through open tender procedures based on the CEB’s guidelines for procurement of supplies, works and services, and is open to bidders from any country.
The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
