TIRANA (Albania), April 2 (SeeNews) – Albania’s government has decided to extend the restrictive measures aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus infection from April 3 until the epidemic comes to an end, health ministry Ogerta Manastirliu said.
Public gatherings will be banned and schools, bars, restaurants and accommodation facilities will remain closed until further notice, the ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The measures imposed in mid-March include a country-wide curfew from 1.00 pm to 5.00 am.
The number of coronavirus cases in Albania increased to 277, as the death toll from the infection reached 16 as of Thursday, the health ministry said.
