September 1 (SeeNews) - Albania is extending the curfew imposed to limit the spread of Covid-19 by an hour starting September 1 and is introducing new restrictions on travel starting September 6 due to a rise in the daily number of new cases of the coronavirus infection, the health ministry said.
The curfew will now start at 11 p.m. and will end at 6 a.m., the health ministry said in a press release on Monday.
Travellers who want to enter Albania must have either a complete vaccination schedule or a negative PCR test within 72 hours, or proof of having had Covid-19 in the last six months, the ministry added.
In Albania, it is mandatory to wear masks in enclosed places.
On Tuesday, Albania confirmed 1,054 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total count to 146,387, public health institution data showed. So far, 2,498 people have lost their lives due to the disease.
