June 21 (SeeNews) - Albania's energy ministry called tenders for two 35-year concessions for the construction, operation and transfer of two hydropower plants (HPPs), the public procurement agency said.
One of the HPPs will be built in the Diber district, in eastern Albania, near the source of Lusa river, the procurement bulletin, published on Monday on the agency's website, showed.
The other one will be built on a water reservoir near the city of Fier, in the southwest of the country.
The offers will be evaluated by eight criteria - proposed installed capacity, value of the concession fee, economic and financial analysis, financial capacity, ecological and social impact, scheme of the plant's connection with the power system, time necessary for the implementation of the project and costs for machinery and equipment.
Interested companies are invited to apply until July 17.
