TIRANA (Albania), April 23 (SeeNews) – The Albanian government said it approved the establishment of two funds worth a total of 75 million leks ($712,253/ 579,576 euro) to provide financing to start-ups and innovation projects.
The two funds will be managed by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) and will be available over a period of three years, the government said in a statement late on Friday.
The fund for support of start-up enterprises worth 30 million leks is divided into 10 million leks for each year and focuses on newly established micro- and small-sized enterprises looking for new markets, according to the statement.
The innovation support fund has a total value of 45 million leks, split evenly over three years. It aims at improving technology and fostering innovation.
