BELGRADE (Serbia), November 27 (SeeNews) – Flag carrier Air Serbia has signed an agreement with the government to launch subsidised flights from Morava airport in Kraljevo to Vienna and Thessaloniki, the infrastructure ministry said.
The year-round Kraljevo-Vienna service will be launched on December 1, while the seasonal flights to Thessaloniki will start on March 10, 2020 and will be operated until October, the infrastructure ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Both routes will be operated four times a week.
Morava airport opened for international civil aviation operations in July. The government has invested 8.5 million euro ($9.4 million) in the overhaul of the Morava military airport, enabling the handling of flights of ATR-72 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
The airport in central Serbia is operated by Aerodromi Srbije, a newly established state-owned company that started operations in the first half of February.
